How our manning service works
You send us the requirement: vessel type, ranks, joining port and date, contract length and any company-specific experience you require. Our crewing desk matches it against active candidate pools and runs every shortlisted candidate through our five-step verification.
Within 24–72 hours you receive a shortlist with CVs and supporting documents. You interview and select; we coordinate the remaining pre-joining steps with your crewing department.
Ranks we supply to your fleet
We supply the full deck, engine and catering complement, from senior officers to ratings, for single vacancies or larger crew changes.
- Senior officers: Master, Chief Officer, Chief Engineer, 2nd Engineer
- Junior officers: 2nd and 3rd Officer, 3rd and 4th Engineer, ETO
- Ratings: Bosun, Able Seaman, Ordinary Seaman, Pumpman, Motorman / Oiler, Fitter / Wiper
- Catering: Cook and Messman
Vessel types we crew
Our crew pools are built around the tanker, gas carrier and dry bulk sectors, where endorsements and cargo-specific experience are critical to vetting outcomes.
- Crude oil tankers — Aframax, Suezmax and VLCC
- Product and chemical tankers
- LPG and LNG carriers
- Bulk carriers — Handysize to Capesize
Five checks before a candidate reaches your desk
Every CV we forward has passed the same structured screening under our ISO 9001:2015 certified Quality Management System. You receive candidates with documents attached, not raw applications.
- Sourcing and full document collection from our active crew pools
- National licence and STCW certificate authentication with issuing administrations
- Sea service records cross-checked, references requested from previous employers
- Rank-specific professional interview, including English assessment
- Final compliance review: medical fitness, visas and contract terms
Commercial terms: you pay only on placement
Candidate presentation is free of charge. A fee applies only when a candidate we presented is successfully placed on your vessel. There is no retainer and no exclusivity requirement.
In line with MLC 2006, seafarers are never charged for placement — which protects your vessel from the retention and conduct problems associated with fee-paying crew.
Working alongside your existing manning agency
Most owners already work with one or more manning agents. AIELYM is designed to sit alongside them as an additional partner: a reserve pool for peak demand, seasonal rotations and urgent replacements, and coverage in crewing regions where your current network is thin.
Our crew sourcing regions include Eastern Europe, the CIS, the Middle East and South-East Asia, supported from our Hong Kong headquarters and UAE regional office.
