Frequently asked questions
How quickly can you present candidates?
For standard requests we deliver a verified shortlist within 24–72 hours. For urgent replacements we present available candidates from our active pool the same day, across all major crewing regions.
Which ranks and vessel types do you cover?
All officer ranks (Master through 3rd Officer, Chief Engineer through 4th Engineer, ETO) and ratings (Bosun, AB, OS, Pumpman, Motorman, Fitter, Cook) for crude, product and chemical tankers, LPG and LNG carriers, and bulk carriers from Handysize to Capesize.
What does your verification include?
Every candidate passes five steps before submission: document collection, licence and STCW certificate authentication, seatime and reference cross-checks, a rank-specific professional interview with English assessment, and a final compliance review covering medical fitness and visas.
What are your fees?
Candidate presentation is free of charge — a fee applies only upon successful placement. In line with MLC 2006, seafarers are never charged for placement.
We already have crewing agencies. Why add AIELYM?
Most of our clients use us as an additional partner: a reserve pool for peak demand, seasonal rotations and urgent replacements, with coverage in regions where their own network is limited. There is no exclusivity requirement.
